La Mirande lake

Despite its modest size, Lac de la Mirande has everything it takes to attract families. Shallow and relatively warm waters. Nevertheless unsupervised swimming is allowed. It is located at an altitude of 450 metres and has a small sandy beach, ideal for sunbathing. Families come here to enjoy a day’s fishing, rebuild a few muscles on the health course or let the children take part in the animated games or have fun with an orientation circuit.

A preserved natural site, Lake Mirande is ideal for observing many animals. You can see mallards and many batrachians because of the proximity of the forest. A category 2 lake, children will be able to observe many animals here.

Those who enjoyed some fishing time will be surprised by the variety of fish. Roach, pike, carp, perch, you will find everything here.

Having more the size of a pond than a lake, the lake of Mirande, is still interesting to spend a relaxing day with family or friends. Its rural setting is conducive to calm and guarantees an excellent day in the proximity of Le Collet. On the way back, it is even possible to stop at other tourist attractions to enjoy the treasures of the Grésivaudan valley. The Château du Touvet, Fort Barraux, the Tour d’Avalon, to name but a few, are worth a stop.
