Monday evening barbecues

The weekly summer rendezvous

Each resort has its own rituals, its own special moments that make the heart of the mountains beat faster in summer. Where some resorts rely on giant tartiflette or Savoy diots served in the main street, Le Collet has its Monday evening barbecue. It’s a time-honoured tradition that nobody misses.

A convivial moment

All on track

On Monday evenings, Collet comes together. Attracted by the smell of grilled meats and the festive atmosphere, holidaymakers and locals alike naturally converge on the same spot. Here, there’s no dress code or set programme – people come as they are, for the simple pleasure of sharing a good meal in the open air with new faces. It’s also the ideal time to exchange tips and tricks: hikes you’ve already done, those you shouldn’t miss, the little secret spots you don’t necessarily dare look for on your own.

Summer events

Throughout the summer season, locals and holidaymakers meet up every Monday evening in the car park in front of the ski lift ticket office for the big barbecue and dance. It’s back to basics, in a convivial setting that’s familiar to all. The event is organised by the Tourist Office, so all you have to do is bring your barbecue and your good humour. After the meal, the evening is prolonged with music and transformed into a ball: a perfect way to end Monday in style before a new week of discoveries in the mountains.

It’s an event that many people look forward to as soon as they arrive in the resort.
